Indian Wedding Buffet Is Overrated

Attending an Indian wedding is always a thrill, viewing the colourfully themed interiors, over joyous hosts, the chaotic ambience and the extraordinary food. Speaking of food, Indian families put a lot in their thinking when planning for a courteous lunch or dinner. Indian weddings have either the food served to their guests or assemble a wedding buffet. Both of these types are prevalent all over India.

Planning lunch or dinner means serving food to over 300 guests at least. Sometimes more than a thousand. The feast should proceed orderly without the chaos I mentioned before. Furthermore, some weddings add fuel to the commotion in the banquet hall by organising a buffet that is just miserable. A classic buffet consists of food being neatly displayed from the starter to the dessert with names of the foods typed on a card before them. Buffets usually have guests assisting themselves in serving the meal. Since the number of guests is more, organising a buffet isn’t a great idea. Cramping bunches of people in a limited-seater hall with barely any place for the guests to walk around is unintelligible. Indian buffets usually have people serving food on plates behind the counters - they are the witnesses for all of this absurdity.

Indian buffets could be more put together and planned in a vast space with sufficient chairs put in. Additionally, use lightweight plates and cups for easy treading to the food stalls. The same course meal can be repeated twice in the same hall to minimise clustering. More importantly, guests can be allowed in groups with entry passes for entry and exit.

Or rather, drop off this whole buffet idea, carry out the old manner of serving food on the table.

These are just feelings about how the Indian buffet could be made more uncomplicated for both the host and the guests. What do you think about this envisionment on the Indian buffet? Do you find it overrated, or is it just me? Tell me in the comments below!
