Hardships! Welp, What To Do?

Hardships! difficulties! trauma! anxiety! welp, what the heck should we do?

Well, hardships sometimes define us. In most cases it moulds us into someone we’re not. Someone that we’re proud of and surprised of.

People have different methods of busting stress and overcoming difficulties. What do you normally do when things get out of control? Take a nap? Walk? Listen to music? Or overthink? I guess most of us overthink the hell out of our traumas hoping that it’d get better.

God says in the Qur’an,

And We have already sent [messengers] to nations before you, [O Muhammad]; then We seized them with poverty and hardship that perhaps they might humble themselves [to Us].

(Surah An’am 6:42)

This verse brings out the true essence of hardships, to get closer to our Maker. When anything bothers you, where do you turn to? Who do you turn to when people have let you down? Who do you call when your plane is about to go down?

There is none besides God that can help us come out of our misery.

In the above verse, God says that He seized previous generations with poverty and hardship so that they would humble themselves to Him. Isn’t that the reality of hardships? We think we could handle everything and we’re enough for us, but we actually couldn’t. Our ego is stumbled. Our only way out is to believe in the unseen and have faith.

At last, even the most vile is humbled.

God also says,

(Al-Balad 90:4)

We have certainly created man into hardship.

Hardships are a part of our making and it doesn’t go away until we turn to the One who instilled it upon us.

And at last,

(Ash-Sharh 94:5)

For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

(Ash-Sharh 94:5)

For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.

God has promised us ease, not once but twice! And ease is promised not after hardships, but along with it.

So, don’t take everything on yourself, love. Leave it to the Creator.

and,

Sunny days are ahead, keep moving!
